I have 8 different bucks using a mock scrape that I made. I have been using the same one in the same spot for a few years

I make them from time to time. You dont need any fancy scents. The most important part is the overhanging licking brqnch. You want it about deers head in height. Clear spot to bare dirt and piss in it. Sometimes the deer take them over sometimes not.

Ive never killed a buck over a scrape however I do get more pics of mature bucks at a scrape than any corn pile. I have a scrape in a field 150 yrds from corn. There are several bucks that have never gone to the corn. 20191002_203044.thumb.jpg.c1fcf161725d54d6de458a02fb151078.jpg

Perfectly put and agreed 100%. Don’t need anything fancy. Your own pee in the scrape is just fine. Always had good success with it.

Sometimes I think the world has gone completely mad. And then I think, "Aw, who cares?" And then I think, "Hey, what's for supper?"

I agree not all Deer  will go to a bait pile

try putting cameras on the trails that go by bait I have pics of bucks walking 20 yards from bait and never touch it. Except for early bow Most bucks I kill if around bait are not looking for food they are after a hot doe ..

I have done the pee trick under a branch for shits and giggles never tried to hunt it though many bucks tend at night some say with drippers they can switch them to daytime

I got one of those dripper’s that is suppose to drip in day light hours that was a Christmas gift I was thinking of trying.

I start running my drippers in September. They work, although not a 100 percent guarantee. That's why it's called hunting

I make 1-3 mock scrapes at every stand. Most of the time a buck will go in it to scent check and chew and rub his glands on the branches. I have been getting tons of pictures on them right now.

Most of my buck pics right now are on scrapes
