Follow the trail the deer ran on. As Ryan said, look for scuff marks, broken branches, etc.... Try to look at the trial and think where and how you would run. They usually crash through brush at the beginning then get on a used trail.

Trying to find a trail but it ran into a thick brush area that ALOT of deer bed down in. I’m doing sections at a time - walking lines over the entire area. I seriously feel like I’m just aimlessly walking in the brush at this point but I guess I’m not alone in feeling that way.

I just spoke to a dog tracker. He said from the description of the shot and the behavior of the deer he’s certain I made a shoulder shot, which he says means the deer is long gone, and the arrow is probably somewhere around here.
