Crossbow Scope Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

Bought a Killer Instinct package.  As expected, the scope isn't the best in low light even with the illuminated reticle.  Can anyone recommend a scope in the $200 range that has decent optics for low light conditions?
Thanks, Mike
Find yourself a used leupold crossbones scope. It's a 2-7x32 I believe and is a much better piece of glass than the stuff that comes on most crossbows. I got mine for $125 or 150 a couple years ago. I don't recall exactly how much. No illuminated reticle, but also haven't needed it either

depends on how much you want to spend what features you want can't go wrong with different models in Hawke and 10 point I have a tactZone I like it a little hard to focus eye relief, green red illumination gets the job done.I did a quick search and if you want to go economy..Amazon wants $200 best of luck with your new bow!

Not sure how good the Hawkes are in low light.  They're generally included with a lot of crossbows and smaller objectives, not the best glass.  Fine for daytime shooting, but low light a lot of scopes go to hell.

Optics planet gives it 4.9 stars.

This one appears to only have a single aim point.  Is that correct?  If so, just consider that.  That's hard to handle (IMHO) w/o pairing with HHA speed dial.  Do you just "wing it" and aim high further out?

Jay gave me a Hawke scope.  My son loves it but I can't see through it with my old eyes.

I've heard similar as dlist on the Hawkes, maybe it's personal preference.

Yes, this is a single center aimpoint.  I prefer it with the HHA speed dial.  Also user preference in what they like

I shot my friends crossbow with a Hawke and just didn't like it at all.  I assumed it was being used to rifle scopes, the Hawke just didn't look right to my eye.  I didn't get a chance to see it in low light but it was non-optimal enough that my friend upgraded to a Vortex.

I also prefer that set up.  I get confused with all the aim points esp when they are so cramped w/ faster bows.  But, he's going to be out a lot more than $200 with the speed dial...
