The bow is 5 years old. Last year I had some delamination on one of the limbs and ten point replaced the entire front end, both limbs, cams and string, this is basically 1 year old bow. I hunted the original string for 4 years without any issues. Good power, I killed several deer between 50 and 60 yards with it, and its extremely accurate. Everything on the bow works as it should. The stock shows its age because I do hunt alot but again everything is in perfect working condition. With the bow I am including soft case, 6 arrows and quiver. 5 arrows are with lighted knocks, and two still in the box never used. I am in Keyport area and if you come to my house you can take some shots before buying. Otherwise we can meet somewhere, I am willing to take ride. I also have two or three replacement covers for the Acue Draw. The quiver receiver on the bow has a crack in it,(cheap part available from Ten point held by two screws)  but I never replaced it because it still works.. $600

R26 is great.  I've been shooting it all summer.  Not sure they can make a bow any shorter (or if I'd want one).  Borkholder archery sells 18 inch bolts....I like them.  They shoot good and dont hang off the end...

They use the Ravin arrows and nocks and just cut them down 2 inches....but it will void your warranty so use at your own risk....

I didn't go in with intention of buying it. I handled several bows, including 10 Nitro, and once i tried the R26 there was no going back. Small, light it fits like a glove.
Why are you shooting your crossbow so much? Once I feel I am comfortable with the new crossbow I only check every now and then to make sure I am still on target. I have a feeling a bow like R26, with all that power, will destroy itself very quickly if you shoot it like it was a vertical.
Good luck this season

I've never shot a vertical so I'm not sure how much that is.

I like shooting it.  But when I say all summer...I just mean a handful 5 or 10 shot outings over the summer.  I try different types of shooting (offhand / from a rest / in the y climber / in my saddle / in a hang on / etc etc)

It's my 2nd Ravin.  My R15 held up just fine over 2 seasons.  I hope your wrong about it destroying itself.

But there is a crapload of potential energy in those short limbs for sure.

vertical requires MORE shooting.I would shoot for a month, at least 4 times/week before the season and then once/week during. Its a different animal but practice with vertical is enjoyable.

Have fun and shoot it. I  maybe wrong but there is tons of energy released with every shot. Its nothing like my ten point, this thing screams on release.

One negative is that you will not get a follow up shot. two much to do and too much noise. However; to date I never had to take one
