Tred had a unique show and had zest for life , he had a never give up attitude that is not often found  in today’s society. I watched his shows and enjoyed the truthful interpretation of our sport whether I’d be hunting or fishing .

His show was awesome.   I remember one episode where he landed huge yellowfins by himself.  He hooked, landed and gaffed it over the side and then collapsed from exhaustion on the deck.

What to say about Tried Barta...

The man was a lunatic. While I didn't agree with some his crazy fishing antics, I always appreciated the fact that he worked his tail off to do things as old school as possible. No fancy gadgets, equipment, or methods. And as a result, his show was awesomely entertaining. RIP.
