I think the lightning just hit my house

 I was downstairs in the basement and the TV went off but came back on and two breakers in the house were thrown 

. Anyone have experience with this before

Probably just a power surge. Or someone struck a pole some where close. I have had two houses on my street get struck by lightning in the 25 years I lived here and both caused fires with a good amount of damage. Funny how you came on here to let us know first though. LOL

It happens to me years ago  blow everything electrical in the house even the meter.

My friend's house got struck two years ago. They were not home but, their dog was killed inside. It caused a some fire. He just got back into his house three months ago.

Was in the basement, heard the lighting crack, and saw a flash run along the exposed bx.  Killed the dehumidifier at the end of the line.

Were you working in the Lab? Did the ghouls show up to get a jolt off your electrodes?

A direct strike will destroy nearly everything electronic in the house. An indirect hit usually damages things underground.

Weather's been crazy!Numerous strikes across the state.
