Tough flukin’ continues

Spent from 6am-3:30pm on my friends boat with our two kids. Fluke were aggressive smashing jigs and teasers but the short count was off the charts(NY size limit) Didn’t keep count of my buddy and his son but me and my boy went through 86 shorts to boat Five keeper. So many fish just a 1/4” short good mix of seas bass with the fluke. Keeper fish all came off my clouser teasers.

Here and aggressive, pulled a jig out of a snag then reeling up I had one smash the jig 10’ off the bottom

Yes my son and i got 4 and my buddies kid got 1. My buddy got none, we now refer to him as shorty LOL Lots of ball busting went on yesterday

Don’t usually take pics of fluke unless it is a noteworthy fish but my wife has been busting my onions about not bringing home more than a dinner for the four of us this year so i took this one to send her before i came home

still a fun day - think I would rather have all the action and fall short, than to have a very slow day and get just a few decent fish

I hear that, everyone wearing costas couldn’t tell my back was red as a lobster  . When do you start going for blackfish?

Season with multiple fish limit starts November 16th.

1 fish limit starts August 1rst.

september and October can be awesome times to fish shallow water and mostly catch and release .

its a fun time to enjoy their hard fight on light jigs
