Shark river for sure, but it's a bit of a haul to get to the ocean.    If you get there early enough many shore towns like Avon by the Sea have parking near the beach, so you just get there early before the guards, drag it across the sand and launch and fish.  No big deal really.  The only things moving there at sunrise are other fisherman, and crabs.

you can put in there, but hauling a kayak over sand is a pain. if you dont already, get the sand wheels.

and dont forget the leashes. launching from the surf is alot easier then getting back in. you wouldnt want to loose anything.

as for kayak fishing the ocean, you want a good hand held vhf radio to contact other boaters/coast guard. and of course a PFD. and if its low light conditions, put a strobe light on your pfd .

a flag cant hurt either. remember your not seen out there. to other boaters your not there. watch your back. and launch with other kayakers.
