Snow is piled up high and the cold still has it's icy grip on all of us, but before you know it, the woods are going to be coming back to life. The sound of birds is not that far off. Thunderous gobbles are right around the corner.

So why not join us this year in our 2nd Annual Turkey contest.

If you'd like to join our Spring Turkey Hunting Contest, PLEASE add your name to this thread no later than Saturday, April 5th, 8am. Same exact time Trout Season opens...so it's easy to remember.

Here is a link to how our NJW&W Turkey Contest is played. Like last year, it will allow entry of NJ, NY & PA birds!

https://www.njwoodsandwater.com/topic/3131-2014-turkey-hunting-contest-under-construction/

This year we're hoping to collect donations and give out some cool prizes.

Teams will be chosen at random after this entry is closed. We have to stop when we get to an even amount of teams too, so don't wait to sign up. We may close early if we are all full.

So come on, join us out there this Spring. It won't be long before the woods are filled with booming gobbles! Maybe, just maybe, you could end up smiling behind the winning bird! Can't win it if you ain't in it though!

Good luck out there! -NJW&W Team

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear

Well it depends on how many join up. This might be individual or it might be team based. If it's team based, maybe we can allow members to pick their teams if that will promote more participation!
