Fisher pics.....got any ?

Recommended Posts

Let's see them if you got them.

I wish I had some of my own but I don't.

So I'll share some that were sent to me by a biologist.

He is interested in sighting and pics of new Jersey Fisher,  if you can include location and approximate date that would be very helpful.

Doubt that's 100% true

Fisher are pretty effective porcupine killers. They circle them tirelessly and bite at their faces and underbellies .

What a way to go huh !

Don’t have the picture handy at the moment but there is a fisher behind Lake telemark in Rockaway. We see him in my girlfriends backyard from time to time. I’ll dig them from the computer when I get home later. Last sighting was about 3 weeks ago.

Have seen them in the Delaware National Recreation Area. No specific dates.

I know that one fisher. It was caught in Butler by someone trying to catch a cat

Seen many bear hunting in swamps.  Used to hunt snowshoes up on the mountain and every track I’d cut in winter would have Fisher tracks inside.  Long story short I think the days of the snowshoes in the mountain swamps is limited.

Had a few better pictures but this was December 2017 in High Point.

I've seen them, but no pics.  One of our Allamuchy buddies has one, tho.  Maybe he'll post .  My butcher/taxi has lots from up towards Sandytston.

I'll have to see if I can find the photo I took of a set of tracks in snow a few winters ago in Sparta.  But I still haven't seen one in NJ in person or caught one on a trail cam.  I just saw one dead on route 42 above Port Jervis, NY the other week on my way home from fishing the West Branch.  But that's NY state.
