Hammers Vs. Rollers/W&W Pit Master competition next summer...

Recommended Posts

Taylor Ham crew vs. Pork Roll crew.......

Member Touch of Grey mentioned a Pit Master earlier in one of the smoking threads......This can be one of the judges, or our very own 3Blade on here.....................

Team captains can be Haskell Hunter and Rutting Buck...............Could also be Touch of Grey, Gobblegetter,  Bowhunter444, Nanuk, Not on the Rug, and numerous others on here based upon the recent smoking posts......

Do not be shy BucksandBows........You know you are a HIGHLY Qualified contender Brian! :rock:

One word of caution......... Haskell Hunter self admittedly has 2 modes. Zero or EXTREME. I have seen this in action and it is all GOOD. Just sayin'........

I am a 220# hog.  Gotta’ eat it to know how to make it.

No way I am going to be on a team.  There may be no “I” in team, but there is a “me”.  This is going to be a Texas Smoking Cage match.  Two smokers go in, only one comes out.

Bring your best, contestants, because that’s what you’re going to need to beat this fat boy!

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

Let the trash talking begin.

Anyone here ever enter an actual BBQ competition before?

This thread just inspired me to smoke my "Pork Candy" for Lou's get together on Saturday.  That's not on the current list of what others are bringing and I can do them at home as they travel well.  Pork belly cut into large cubes, dry rubbed, then smoked in a tin pan, turning frequently at first until a good bark sets in and they take on the hickory (or apple, or whatever you like) flavor.  Once they are at that stage with a decent bark, I add a mixture of bourbon and maple syrup with some more of the dry rub and glaze them, again turning a few times until sticky.

After that, they are bit sized finger food.  :)

Nothing pro but a lot of local and if ribs are in the competition I AM IN! Last contest two contestants threw in the towel after trying mine. Lets go boys, can’t make Lous this weekend but for an official NJWW pit masters/ cornhole tournament you Taylor Hammers are going down :P
