College Student looking for work

My 19 year old daughter is looking for summer work, if anyone has anything please let me know.  She had a job working with animals lined up before she left school but it fell through.

The poor kid has applied for over 2 dozen jobs, had a bunch of interviews but nothing, every employer prefers someone who can work year round.

She is an honors student majoring in bio-chem/ pre vet med an VT, she has a car and drives, we live off exit 8 on the NJTP.

perhaps a local ice cream parlor?  My daughter worked for Shop-Rite.  They were good to work for.

I saw Target was hiring for $13/hour.

Great Adventure AKA 6 Flags has a help wanted sign hanging on one of their overpasses on 537 .... and they do have a vet department.

 

Have your daughter google this: 6 flags employment

This was her first application back in April, unfortunately it never panned out.

I'm in college as well and many of my friends say avoid 6 flags at all costs, terrible place to work! But try local restaurants, and or grocery stores like mentioned. Local shops are always hiring summer kids it seems too

Yes she did, no luck.  She is doing volunteer work for two different organizations, one is a vet where she can shadow, the other is a home for senior dogs in Allentown.

I was thinking about that home in Allentown. There was a great article about it in the paper.

Your daughter probably has checked these out, but maybe not.

What about pet smart or co they have vet service

She should try out to work in the Apple store - I have a colleague whose son just got accepted.  Good training, great benefits and best of all - can also be continued when school resumes at another location.

Tried Pet Smart, application, 2 rounds of interviews, they went with someone who could work year round.
