There's been some talk about combining rifle/muzzleloader to the normal shotgun course so it's just gun or archery (or both), but no more rifle/muzzy separate in the future.  Not sure when or what it will mean if you have one but not the other and now want the course you haven't yet taken.  But it makes sense.  Other states don't break out different weapon types beyond gun and archery, at least none that come to mind.

so even if I want to take the rifle course I cant

I would think they will either continue offering it or make you take the new course for all guns even if you've taken shotgun or the rifle/muzzleloader course alone.  But that's purely a guess, I have no inside information on it.  I doubt it, but maybe they'd just waive it if you have at least one of the gun safety courses under your belt.  We should know more soon.

I've been a licensed hunter for the past 27 years if they make me take it again im not gonna be happy

I hear you.  I found it funny that I've been rifle hunting since I was 12 years old in various other states and shotgun hunting for about 36 years before I took my NJ rifle and muzzleloader course a couple of years ago.  Seemed silly at the time.
