best to call the local bait shops a head of time. I know when I was looking a few weeks ago, most bait shops didn't have anything but Fresh frozen clams or salted. most told me they would need 2-3 days to accommodate. Was told easier to just head to the dock and get them

Be prepared to pay $1 a clam for fresh. They are nuts now. Go jig them or use gulp

use to be a guy near belford who sold clams from a chest freezer on his property. you just dropped the money in a box and took what you paid for. i would assume he stopped because people were probably stealing them.

As said assholes ruined it.

Could buy bushells or shucked  clams any time of the day there

i think thats the guy i was talking about? i remember it didnt even matter if it was 2am. you could go there and get clams. had a small box to drop your money in
