A friend of mine has a hawk he uses for pheasant in NJ, pretty cool to watch it in action.

I take the family to Hershey Park for a vacation every once in a while.  The Hershey Hotel has a raptor experience that’s about 120 minutes long.  I bought that for my oldest and wife to attend.  They loved it.  The guide with the raptor explains how they get their birds, how they train them, and then he sends the bird out to hunt pieces of meat that are on the ground.  Fantastic experience, and I learned a lot from them when they came back from it.  Falconry is really, really cool, but you have to be super dedicated to it (kind of like trapping, but even more involved).

We’re going back to Hershey again this year, and I might sign myself up for the falconry experience.
