Tombler's bakery - a hidden gem

Recommended Posts

I woke up this AM with a tick in my back that I couldn't completely remove so had to make a trip to my doctor's in PA.

On the way back I had a fantastic Cornish pastie from a small bakery - it was so good that I feel compelled to share it with my brothers and sisters on this site.

Tucked away right next to the source of that stink you smell on I-78  by Easton (The Chrin Landfill) is a great little baker's shop which sells tremendous Cornish pasties.

They are just the thing on a cold winter's day and if you get there on a Tuesday they will be hot and fresh out of the oven - otherwise they will reheat them for you in a microwave.

A nice diversion if you are heading to the Sarco or Heritage Guild shop just on the other side of I-78.

Basically turn south off of I-78 and turn right at the light by TNT fireworks - follow the road down past Pop's (great burgers and fine selection of beers on tap that you can get growlers filled at, btw) for about a mile.  You will come to a sharp bend in the road to the left p on the right hand side you will see the sign for Tombler's Bakery.

Enjoy - I know that I did and this is too good not to share (to use LPJR's words)

Moved back to Jersey after 20 years in Easton.  Miss that place, and the gun laws. LOL
