Slow and incomplete images loading on homepage

Question

Posted

I'm getting the top four pictures loading slowly or half way.  The CamoFire add sometimes doesn't load the first image.

Might be my connections, I'll try from another spot in a couple of hours, flushing the browser cache in between.

Notice the graphic missing in the sidebar.

I flushed my cache and reset Safari.  Logged back into the site and got the same behavior.

Seems to be browser-related.  I fired up IE Win7 via VMWare and the page loaded okay.  Firefox and Chrome on Mac OS X 10.9.1 all loaded okay.  Must be a Safari thing.

I still blame your code...

I just tested that one with a Chrome extension, and they both came up OK.  Server admins...always trying to blame the software guys

Still a problem on there?  Maybe it's the Safari install?

I know my Mac at home with Safari is all good.

camo fire is loaded but featured content still loading

What kind of laptop?  What browser and version if yo know?

I've seen the same loading symbol from time to time but usually it resolves itself...and it's usually a network thing, but it could be something else if you continually see it on a single device but not others.

Could be the case.  I can't get WebEx to work on this laptop for some reason, and it's probably a browser-related issue.  It would take me a day to wipe and reinstall, and that won't happen for a while.

Definitely code related, unfortunately it's my code this time...

I just tested the user agent string for Windows 7 and IE11 but had no issue bringing up the sliders.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko

Try doing a hard refresh of your broswer by holding down CTRL and hitting F5.
