Couple of Trout

My daughter  wanted to try some fishing today.   It was pouring rain this afternoon, but it looked like it would pass quick.  Hopefully it would keep other guys out of the spot I wanted to try only about a mile from my house.

She doesn't have a lot of stream trout fishing experience, so I helped her get set up and made sure she was getting a good drift.  We were getting a lot of hits, but no fish.   Then she caught a small one, and the afternoon was a success at that point.   A couple of minutes later she had a heavy fish on.    We managed to get it onto the bank after a good fight and some close encounters with logs and sticks along the shore.  Her biggest stream trout so far.  18".  A nice hour and a half on the water close to home.
