Trust me, you may a pay a little more, but check out a used Civic, Toyota, Nissan, etc for your son. I have had some good cars that lasted 200-250k miles with doing nothing more than basic maintenance like brakes, oil changes, timing belts, etc....Was so glad one of my daughter's actually wanted and liked the Honda Civic coupes when she got her license and I found a mint 2007 Civic for her that she loves....
