80 year old dude - bet you he was setting up next to you for some company. Seriously - when you are 80, I have a feeling you look at the world differently - to him, catching fish was probably secondary to just hanging out and sharing the water with someone rather than be alone.

Lol, that is messed up. Trout fishing sounds like deer hunting NJ public land. There is no common sense or etiquette any more. 

A couple lures wizzing violently past there faces might have solved the issue
