Opening day Trout Weather......

The streamside Taylor Ham, egg and cheese sandwiches, venison breakfast sausage, and other tasty treats along with a snort of bourbon will overcome any blown-out river on Opening Day.  :)

If we get less than 1/2", fishing should be okay on most streams and rivers.  But if we get an inch or more.....

IT'S PORK ROLL, EGG & CHEESE ! :happywave:

I thought, growing old would take longer !

I spent most of my money on shotguns and fly rods.  The rest I just wasted.

I'll wake up, cook myself a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Then tie flies. Might drive around with the dog to check out some fishing areas. Maybe go out Sunday.

I got out yesterday and found a great caddis hatch on the SBR later in the day.  The fish were so-so on them, and nothing on top, but it was the first decent hatch I've seen other than the little stones so far.  I'm hearing about BWOs and we should have our blue quills (Paraleps) and Hendricksons very soon now.  Saturday's air temps might get them both popping.

It must suck to not live in trout country.

It does because in the last 25+ years or so you can't get there from down here..... easily.

However, can't beat the pork roll !

When was the last warm up? I think it was last Saturday? Anyway I had BWOs on my windshield. Not many but a few. My driveway is about 75 yards from the south branch.
