Awesome opportunity for the future constutuents of our sport.

But if they are not successful on youth day, kids should be allowed to turkey hunt in afternoons all season.....i tried for the past 2 yrs to get my boy up to go before school and it's just too much, it should be enjoyable and not like work or a job.

Unfortunately when I proposed all day hunting for kids, it was abruptly shot down due to the possibility of hens getting bumped off nests.....citing a case study in Texas ...so I adjusted the proposal to hunting out of blinds only to curtail any chances of knocking hens off nests....that proposal fell on deaf ears as well.

Kids have too much competition from schoolwork, sports, family obligations, video games, etc to ever get introduced into turkey huntin.
