Home owner insurance/adjuster ?

NJM is screwing me and need some help before I go the legal route. In Feb I ordered a new fridge from HD. They offered removal,install and new water lines as an add on. I paid to have it all done. They came and installed but left old lines and broke 1. We didnt know until the next morn when our floor was flooded and the ceiling in finished basement was hanging. Njm sent adjuster bla bla bla. NJMs quote is a few thousand less than the 4 estimates Ive gotten so far and they are dragging this out. I even contacted a contractor that works with NJM and they said it cant be done for that amount. Is there anything I can do to get them to cover repairs? HD said not their problem take it up with the install company.

I had the same problem with NJM when we got hit by Sandy.  I provided them with 3 estimates that ranged between 45-55k. They only wanted to cut a check for 11k.  It took between 5-6 months but they finally paid up.  I harassed them daily until we agreed on 48k.
