But those little cedars I setup for my old bow last year I fletched with 3 and they shot great. Colors are pretty decent too . need to figure out a better jig instead of just having a steel clamp to grind against the belt sander . need to get a pretty perfect grind for making fletchings. . hammer4reel
Think I’m going to buy one of these . i made a metal clamp and am using a belt sander . this seems to make a really perfect base , as the roller on the drum keeps perfect alignment Edited March 31, 2019 by hammer4reel MGHunter66

Feathers look great, good job hammer Im going to buy one. seems its by far the quickest and most reliable method for both grinding the base as well as getting an even thickiness. I did the first bunch on a 4" belt sander with a homemade clamp. just going little slow by eye. Having a preset depth by their wheel has to make it easier. I did have 2 feathers shoot right out of the clamp today . The few you get from each bird I def want them to be all good Edited March 31, 2019 by hammer4reel
