Ate Dinner At One Of Our Favorite Places

My wife and I went down to visit my zio (uncle) at Hackensack Hospital, afterwards we decided since we where in the area we would enjoy a great meal at E&V in Paterson, I've been going there since a kid with my family....Tonight it was the wife and I only, as the kids where at school doing a fundraiser for childhood cancer.

We started off with Seafood salad ,grilled calamari over broccoli rabe , seared lamb chop w/ potato & broccoli rabe n eggplant parmigiana!! absolutely delicious...ended the night, we shared a cannoli and I had a double espresso with a small amount of sambuca

I love E & V! My family & I use to eat the often. I usually eat there a few times a year. Great portions.

Oh man, thanks for the memories! Was the place to go for " special date" when wife was at Monclair. Had my first Negroni and Chianti on waiter recommendations. Thought I was James Bond, waiter knew you were trying to impress your date. If I remember correctly it was cash only, surly waiters, and huge portions. Been over 30 years.

Its usually the race home for the bathroom that sucks.

They now take Credit Cards, but in the past cash only

Original owners went to jail for not reporting the full cash deals, new owner has been a waiter there for 40 plus years, he kept the same menu and staff, he did it smart

Portions are always huge, and always walk out with food to take home
