Which Tick Killer Product From Tractor Supply?

Recommended Posts

with the upcoming spring turkey season I normally use Sawyers Tick Spray, but it's expensive....Last year I remember reading on here a member used a tick killer product from Tractor Supply, it was inexpensive cause you mixed it with water.....Does anyone recall the name of the product?

Sawyers can be purchased a little more reasonable at Walmart than other  places,

When it comes to ticks, the few bucks spent on it for long term protection is worth it

I agree, I do buy from Walmart when I buy it...the product from Tractor Supply has the same killing chemical as Sawyers

Last year I sprayed my clothing one time with Permethrine and didn't see one single tick on me. This stuff works and you eliminating the need for spraying every time you go out.

IM going to look , but I believe sawyers is probably using whats called a sticker in their formula.

If you just mix Permethrin concentrate with water  and spray it  . getting it wet again would thin it down.

Sawyers after getting wet hunting a few times seems to still work  as well as when it first was applied.

Stickers were developed to keep insecticides on what the were sprayed on through rain and wetting for approx. 3/4 weeks..

as with sawyers once they were dried on what was sprayed the protection the sticker caused allowed it to work longer without washout

100% correct, home made solutions don’t in any way have the longevity because of exactly what you’ve stated.

I did some reasearch on this awhile back.  At that time, martins was one of the few that did not include any other ingredients, like oils or other chemicals so that's why i used that brand.  May be others now but i would confirm that they don't have anything else in them.  That Martins bottle i listed will make thirty eight 16 ounce bottles of spray that is the strength as sawyers.

As others mentioned maybe there are better brands now.
