Best Fishing Sunglasses

Recommended Posts

I disagree with above post. Costa all the way. I have a blue mirror lense pair that I got for work which is my go to for everything. Planning on getting an additional green mirror lense pair for inshore fishing.

Try a few different brands on and see what you like.

Glare off the water and bright sunshine can cause eye damage. I'm thinking of getting a new pair of sunglasses to protect my peepers. What do you guys recommend?

I have 400 Costa and 580 Costa.  They are great sunglasses..  I bought them on sale for under 100 except one pair that was a wedding gift..  with that said I have tried code boys Maui Jim's and no doubt they are nicer but the cost is higher and one I can't justify for my self at this point in my life..  after going to Costa I will say I can no longer wear cheap sunglasses they hurt my eyes and I get a head ache

I have Costas with the 580 lenses. They have been pretty good. There are probably better but but you will pay. Costas are not cheap too. I'm hard on sun glasses and always seem to lose or break them so I have cheap polarized glasses for every day driving and doing things outside. Keep the good ones for just fishing. Might try the Maui Jim next time.

Costa 580.

By far best sunglasses there are for fishing our waters .

I have many styles and colors for different applications .

You really need to try the different styles on .as they all fit your face a little different based on frame size as well as what wrap around you need to get proper fit around your temples .

I have had both MJ's and Costa's.  Currently have new Costas and good Ray Ban's for driving but also work just fine for fishing as they are polarized / brown lense. All are good.  I have even had good use out of lesser priced brands.  I know  a lot of Fla Keys guides love the Smith's as well.

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

Smiths Action Optics

Make sure to pick the Lens that matches what you fish for the most. I have the Guide Series glass lens in coppper. I do a lot of low light fishing and that lens works great, but is still dark enough for bright days on the Ocean. Wish I could have two pairs one Copper and the other Blue.
