Char Steakhouse....Raritan, NJ

Sunday evening was date night with the wife.....We decided to try Char Steakhouse for the first time, we enjoyed it and will return!!!!  I wouldn't go and say it's great like Peter Luger's, Keens, or Sparks....But it was worth it, without going into the city. We started off with lamb lollipops, followed by a porterhouse for two (460z) with mashed potatoes with truffel oil and black truffels, and  sauteed spinach, ended with triple chocolate chip cookie with nutella and ice cream

No Somerset Street, leave Char on 202 North, quarter mile make right on Thompson, quater mile turn left on Somerset and it’s right on your left after you turn

The owner of the Madison Hotel is one of the most nicest people I have met and is a sportsman as well known by a few members on this site! Awesome establishment and top notch as well....

I was just at Char on Friday in Red bank. I’m not sure if it’s same owner but it was also very good

I agree 100%. it’s only 5 minutes up the road from Char.
