The internet turns 30

I believe the world wide web / internet turns thirty this month. Given the excellent forum we have with this fine site I thought members should feel obligated to post some kind words to it's creator Al Gore. Not only has he helped expose bovine flatulence for the environmental nightmare it is but without his intrepid insight and electronic genius not only would this site not exist but we would be forced to accompany our spouses as they continued to shop in malls.....!

I would like to make a lengthily reply but, my computer gets over heated and shuts down with all of this global warming we are having unfortunatly.

I’d like to take a moment of silence for those people removed from the gene pool by taking perilous selfies.  They have done a great service to the human race by leaving the game without tainting the gene pool.

I heard that there were 64 selfie deaths so far this year.

I’d call that a good start.  I’d also hedge to bet that more progressives are killed by narcissistic selfies than non-progressives.

The true internet has been around since the 70s and long before Al, I need my 14 homes and big airplane but you don't Gore, "invented" it.  But it was being used by researchers mostly back then.
