BowhunterNJ
Kevin Richardson is known as the lion whisperer, and I think that term is perfectly accurate. He has literally made himself part of a pride of lions, as well as a group of hyenas.Watch Kevin hug, cuddle and play with these wild predators. He also attaches Go-Pros on the backs of some of the lions and hyenas, so you can see things from their perspective as well.If this isn’t the most amazing intimate footage of lions and hyenas you’ve ever seen, I’d be very surprised. http://thehigherlearning.com/2014/01/05/wow-the-man-who-hugs-wild-lions-brought-a-go-pro-this-time-video/ BowTechExperience and Matty

BowhunterNJ
I would think at any second, one of those lions could just chomp down on his head like it's a potato chip...

Matty
Absolutely amazing! I know that everyone always says these people are crazy and have death wishes, but for these people, it's obviously something they love deeply. A passion for something so intrinsic that they don't really consider risk to be a deterrent. Not much different than someone that races motorcycles, climbs mountains, or hunts treacherous conditions because it's what they love. I know love the times when I can get close to deer and black bears or any wildlife for that matter, down to the smallest birds and try to interact with them, not on a hunting level, but learning about them. While I don't think I'd ever attempt to "live among lions" or grizzly bears, or what have you. I'm glad there are people that do. They can teach us so much about animal behavior. Great post! BowhunterNJ 1 “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear

Hatchet
Lol! I saw that documentary on Tim Treadwell few weeks ago on the Indie channel! I'll stick to watching deer. In the words of the late great Jim Croce You don't tug on Superman's cape You don't spit into the wind You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger And you don't mess around with Jim You add camo to anything, it immediately becomes cool.
