Turkey permit Lottery

It's interesting how we are awarded a specific permit for a zone and a specific week. Both of my son in laws and I picked the exact same choices and we all hit Zone 15 time Period D,  which I find interesting.  Zone 15 Pd D was our last choice of the second lottery. According to the quota chart there are only  11 permits available for Zone 15 D period.  What are the odds to hit 3 out of 11?

I think that’s last year’s results to give ppl a general idea but I could be wrong

Agree, but even if they double it, the odds seem strange. One son in law got the same as I but the other shut out of zone 15 A. All of us got shut out from zone 22 Pd E. I find lottery stuff interesting.

Myself along with 2 of my friends got 15D. One of the guys got 2 15Ds. 

They both tried for 15A and 15E. Very rare you'll get both of those. I'd say near impossible.

I got 2 14 D. I must of messed up wanted D and E

Picking a popular zone and segment in 2nd lotto is a waste as they go in the 1st.  The numbers u posted were left overs that went picked up

You must be right, but is there a reshuffling of permits after first lottery or is the second lottery just leftovers? If second lottery is just left overs , there is no reason for a second lottery. You should list 1-6 and hope for your top 2 or 3 choices.

The 2nd is for a second permit.  Like 14 e is very popular and the quota is filled in first lotto..  14 a is popular as well but you have a chance in 2nd as they dont always go in first..  the quota has alot to do with safety and quality of hunt..  we are not like pa and cant be compared with our available land..imagine every Turkey hunter out on the first saturday?

I know guys complain they cant hunt when they dont get a permit but you can..  maybe not your back yard but when I dont get one I go to a zone that has over counter and have been been succesful

There is 100 permits per week for zone 15..

11 was how many people put in for for their first choice last year. You got your 3rd choice on your 2nd permit.
