St Croix Vacation

Hey guys I am heading to The Buccaneer resort in St Croix on Thursday for 5 days with the girlfriend. Has anyone been there? Any fishing around?

Never been but like any tropical island - fish should abound. You should pack a 7 foot travel rod (Cabelas Fish Eagle  makes a good 4 piece) and quality real with 10 lb line. Bring plugs, small bucktails, DOA shrimp, jig heads and gulp shrimp. Expect bonefish snook tarpon jacks barracudas and snappers.   If you don’t bring a rod and some tackle you will probably regret it

I've got a rod that you can borrow, it's an Ugly Stick but it will most likely need new line. I will be in Green Brook for the first part of the day tomorrow if you want to pick it up.

There's definitely Bonefish, Snook, Tarpon,  Barracudas. Bring a travel rod like Jack said. Can't remember if I was there or not but have been around those islands.

Cruzan Rum offers samples and a tour of their facility on the island.  I think Captain Morgan's distillery is on St. Croix too.
