BowhunterNJ Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 What brand and type cheeses do you guys like to mix with your sausage when grinding it all up and casing it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sam3 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 You need to be more specific. Fresh sausage? Sausage to smoke?
Bowhunter444 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I use swiss cheese when I make brats. I also do an italian sausage with red wine and pecorino ramano cheese Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk "Don't forget that you're First Marines! BowhunterNJ Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Fresh sausage. I have a butcher that makes mine, he uses mozzarella. He said I could bring my own if I wanted. I was thinking of using sharp provolone like Tom Elefante used to! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BowhunterNJ Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 You like any others or know of a good sharp provolone to use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sam3 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I use extra sharp white cheddar a lot. Mainly for summer sausage and snack sticks. I like Kenny's idea with the Pecorino Romano for fresh sausages.
BHC Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 If your making Italian sausage then use Pecorino Romano
PV216 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I made a batch with my uncle and cousin a few weeks ago. It came out great! We used a little provolone and a little parmesian and a lot of garlic.
