Today will probably be our last hunt.  Winter bow closes Thursday and the weather's looking less than fun the next 3 days.  I'll be sitting with the Beard, today is his day to watch me.

Only caught a glimps of 2 tails running down off the hill about 80yds to my right and angled in front of me toward me son. Other than that, it is freezing. About 12 degrees and the wind is making it feel like zero.

I will be buying my archery and firearms tags today. I have not hunted since the second week in December when I harvested my target buck. I have been checking my cameras twice a week since then and no shooters have shown up. So today will be bow and then shotgun. Looking to put 2 more burger deer in the freezer.

Looks like my season is over.  Was wondering why he hasn't shown up on camera for the last few days.  Last night he showed up, but came no closer, and left.  Think he's been humbled, and afraid of revenge.

I am on my way out for an evening sit, want to take one last deer and I am going to try it a 240 yards across two fields. I will let you know how it  turns out

Just checked 2 cameras, on one of them I had deer at 9 am yesterday morning than the same group at 430 pm. Sitting in the blind with the 10 banger waiting
