Broke out the Sako today

I have a SAKO topped with a West German made Zeiss.....Damn gun is gorgeous, very smooth action and damn accurate ......My father got me this set up for my 16th birthday

What import marks does it have? One of mine that my mom gave to me was purchased in West Germany and has no import marks. Another one has imported by Stoeger (Hackensack).

My SAKO was imported by Stoeger, he purchased it from them he knew a guy there.....The Zeiss says Made In West German.....this was back in the fall of 1986

We got a 25x Zeiess on our 6.5 Sako, my .308 has a 16x Nikon.

The only ones that do not have the best reputation are the ones marked “borfors steel”. I have found this to be in true. Also on the Deluxe models the same factory made the stocks for Weatherby back in the early 80’s.
