BowhunterNJ Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Oh wow, now I'll definitely have to check closely. Thanks for the heads up! What part of the state?

Matty Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Thanks for the heads up Cory! From what I've seen in the past, it's not terribly unusual to start seeing an occasional buck start shedding around 6 day season. Hopefully the majority will hold for some time still. “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
Gruntmaster Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Seems a little early, but I guess it depends on what part of the state your in. By the same token, if there dropping by you is only days for it to start by us up north. Bummer............Thanks for the heads up anyway. Last thing I want to do is drop a baldy thinking it was a doe. I prefer to let them walk for next season. NRA Life Member"From My Cold Dead Hands" I'm all for Gun Control...I use both Hands.
