Walked the hardest mile I ever walked, breaking through the crust with every step, taking over an hour. I scared deer over the hill. No problem hearing them today.

5 am I'm in the field with my pup just working on basic commands and playing. I noticed the doe bedded down. Leashed the pup. Snuck into shop loaded the xbow. Inched my way back out and when she gave me a shot it was her time. In my haste loading bow in dark I grabbed a rage tip bolt vs the montec I usually go with.  She didnt go 20 feet from where she was. Wow. Unexpected opportunity but she was delicious. From field to dinner plate by my own hands. That's what it is all about. Pics of pup the doe and dinner!!
