Hell of a day to have boat troubles...

Shame bar and chop your way out. Furthest I broke ice was about 3/4 of a mile then the last quarter I could run the bow up on it and break through. Slow process. When it gets this cold some guys will take shifts all night running boat back and fourth keeping a path open. Got to live close by to do that

I'd wait until it's so cold their feet freeze to the ice.  Then maybe I could hit one.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but hunting any wind over 20+ mph sucks.    The decoys don't lay right, the birds don't work.   If they do fly  its with the wind at mach 1.    No thanks.

Gang lines in strong wind will do ok. Wind at back to have a chance of them cupping down and shooting. Flying with the wind is close to impossible shot. 7 degrees and 25 mph, i can't handle that cold anymore. My feet and hands go numb in no time.
