Just grabbed my shotgun permit for a pot luck hunt at a spot I never tried.

Walked in 100 yards, sat down for an hr. Didnt care for my view.
Just still hunted another 100 yards in and found a log to sit on overlooking this gully.
Looks promising.. alot of deer runs around me. I can see but shots can be tricky with brush here.

Done goose hunting in z12, moved to z15 for some deer hunting and they already moving

Out in zone12 banging my head against the wall trying to figure out this nocturnal ghost of a 12pt buck. It’s been 3 years an I have only seen him once in the daylight. I am pretty sure he isn’t on the property in daylight. I haven’t had a picture of him in a month,thought he dropped his antlers. But nope showed up on a different camera just after midnight today.

i shot this doe, gutted her, I looked up and I have 15 deer, including a nice buck feeding at 350 yards., I may go back to hunting

Yeah I barely heard the deer coming and very skittish. Public state land is tough.
