Saturday hunt cancelled

Wife got the call of her friends mother passing yesterday. Viewing today ,service tomorrow. Muzzle hunt delayed til next week. I have 2 Pheasants I was going to smoke but wouldn't be thawed in time for today. Ran to store got an 8 pound pork butt. Salt and pepper last night. Dusted with Memphis Rib dust and smoked over applewood chunks til 203. rest in cooler for an hour. Reheated later with sauce. Pulled pork sandwiches tonight, Carnitas tomorrow. Wife is worried I'm going to smell like bacon after my shower in the funeral parlor!

9 hours with spritzing on the half hour with Jack Daniels and Smol soda after 4 hours.. The wake suck. Its such a morbid experience. Quick Dinner of sandwiches. Tomorrow re-heated with a garlic and butter sauce with Tacos.
