Best release?

Recommended Posts

My current release is on its way out. Looking to upgrade when I purchase a new one. Wouldn't mind spending in the $100 range. Any suggestions?

I’ve always shot Scott releases. Have tried others but never enough to switch.

I use  Tru-Fire Hardcore

I tried the hard core but liked the double caliper edge...  just don't like the hook

Find a shop that will let you try out releases.

Personally I shoot a TruBall Max Pro Hunter 4 thumb trigger.  And I am playing with 2 different wrist straps; TruFire Smoke and TruBall Glory.  I have been shooting the thumb for about 6 years.  Pre that I shot a wrist release for 15 years, pre that was fingers for 5 years.  Thinking about going back to a wrist, but I love the hands free of the thumb release.

I've been shooting a Try Fire Hardcore for the past couple seasons but might try a thumb release over the summer and see how I like it

How close are you to Bob and AJ's?

They have all different kinds of releases.

I like the Scott shark and echo.

At the shop they have thumb, finger, back tension, Carter and Scott and tru something.

Spot Hogg Wiseguy, been using this release for a few years. It definitely made me more accurate then my  caliper release.

Check out archery talk classifieds. I bought and sold releases until I found the one I liked.

I'm a Carter fanboy. 1st choice for hunting, total control for 3D/target.
