I have this same rod in a 9 weight that I have landed many stripers, blues, Albies, fluke, and other species on.  A very strong rod and very smooth casting, especially with heavier lines.  A 7 weight, 9 foot rod is great for chucking streamers for trout, poppers for bass, flashy flies for shad, Gotchas for bonefish, eggs for steelhead, etc.  A great line weight that covers a lot of fish we routinely chase here in the northeast.  Best of luck with the sale!
