So...who here is "fixed"???

not on the rug

A sharp knife, a steady hand, perhaps a blindfold and last cigarette and all will be fine. All that said some ice and a couple of days rest is all you'll need. Immediate concern is infection which is rare at about 2-3%. Some guys experience delayed post surgical pain which is assumed a result of a bit of plumbing back up, again very rare. Then there is the regret factor which is usually experienced by that rare bird who in their mid fifties marries a 20 something and yearns for a new family and a shall we say, rebirth.  Those poor bastards we refer for psych evaluation....

Good luck and happy New Year.

Had it done 26 years ago. One of the worst experiences of my life and I’ve had 19 joint operations. I believe my problems were due to my doctor. First of all, he didn’t numb me up near enough. I could literally feel cords being pulled up in my lower abdomen. When I was screaming about that, he mentioned that he only likes to use the minimum amount of anesthetic. I told him to give me more and he reluctantly did but, I still felt every stitch. I wasn’t pleased. The next day my nuts were the size of a grapefruit. I went to the ER and the attending doctor(a woman of course) asked if I was in an accident because of how big the cuts were and how ragged they were. Well I had an infection and was admitted. They put a drain in my sack and ran bags of IV antibiotics thru me to make sure, in their words, I didn’t “Loose anything”. Got out after two days but with the drain still in. Had to go back in a week and have it removed. Everywhere I went in the car I had to have a folded up towel under my sack as a shock absorber. With the boys just hanging, every bump I hit sent me through the roof. Lots of other little problems but, for the next few years, about once a month or six weeks I would get extreme pain on the left side of my bag that ran up into my lower abdomen. It finally subsided but I had been to every doctor in the area and no one knew what it could be. Then, the icing on the cake was that about 8 months after I got snipped my wife had some problem and had to have a historectomy(?). In conclusion, if I had to do it again, I would tape an M-80 to the sachet and blow my nuts off. It would be less painful and, after I healed, I’d have an extra inch or so of schwantz...at least on the bottom. Good luck!

That sounds absolutely horrendous.  The procedure these days is a lot different and doesn't even involve a scalpel.

I'm sure glad we all know that your nutsack looks like one of Dr. Frankenstein's projects...That visual is enough birth control for me.  LOL

Just like the title says guys.  I'm taking the plunge in the immediate future and wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it.  How was the procedure?  Pain level afterwards?  Any advice?

Nervous About My Nuts

Rug.....don't hesitate, if that's what you want to do. Now, I will say...don't do what I did.

The day beforesurgery I was setting some 75# blocks and apparently aggravated my hernia, so the pain I was feeling was not from the surgery. Ohh, and the first time you and your wife “do it” their’s some anxiety cause your mind says it might hurt…..it doesn’t.
