Flu hitting me hard

Left work early last Friday with 102 fever. I slept from 1230 Friday afternoon to Saturday morning at 6am. Sweating my ass off, freezing my ass off, diarrhea, vomiting, haven't ate anything in days. Sore throat. Went to the doctor today. I have the flu for the first time in my life. I'm 31 years old. This sucks. They ordered in tamiflu but doc said I may have waited to long. ... my living room now looks like a homeless guy lives here. What a mess. Maybe next year I'll get my first flu shot. I never bothered with flu shot because I never got the flu.

Damn!  Feel better!!! Wonder if they can determine the strain and if the flu shot would have helped.  I never get the flu shot either.  I figure it protects against a dart throw at a few strains of the flu which are guessed to be most likely that year, then there are dozens of other strains that wind up hitting people and the flu shot does nothing against.

At the very least the flu shot might lessen the severity of the flu's effects. Feel better. It will take some time but you'll get back to 100%.

That Sucks. My Wife busts my chops every year to get flu shot. Last two years I didn't do it and luckily I escaped the bug. This year I got it.

I been getting the flu shot for as long as I can remember.  Had the flu twice when I was a child but, not since thank god.  Feel better.  You can understand why it kills people.

Its been going around. Me, my wife and the baby all have it. I haven't stepped outside since thursday. I think the worst is behind us now, but its definitely lingering. Feel better

I get the flu shot and pay attention when out and around and touching things (door knobs, etc), even the change you get back when you buy something, and shaking hands to keep my hands away from my face (eyes, nose & mouth) until I have washed them.

I just got over it, feel for ya.  Funny thing is ...every year I get the flu shot I get sick as hell !

Just getting over it, I was lucky I caught it very early but still the symptoms I had was like yours but no diarrhea or vomiting but the pain from head to toe was treamendous!!!! I also slept for days, lost nearly 10 lbs
