Yup, I use an FFL in Easton, PA, $25.00.  Last time I bought in NJ it was $47.00, what a ripoff!  When my father had his FFL and NJ Retail Firearms license he used to do it for free!

Pretty sure the answer is go to an FFL and have the transaction done by the FFL which is now required.

Yes I saw two criminals in Newark heading to  a local gun shop to complete the transaction.

Just make sure you check with whichever  FFL your thinking about possibly using ahead of time, unless you have someone you use regularly already. Some have different views on what needs to be done. Some will do the transfer, some won't, some say they can't complete the transfer cause they have to actually take ownership of the firearm, etc etc

Just remember you even miss a splinter once you take it out to some degree..  with that said at least Christie upheld the constitution
