Jim_
Just the name has always grossed me out, and I never touched the stuff. But, we do an after-Church brunch at my house each Christmas, with a lot of folks. Some bottles of eggnog found their way in, and after a while I started to have some. I like that stuff! One was "Pennsylvania Dutch" brand, the other was Costco's private label. Both labels stated ….. spiced rum, brandy, and blended whiskey. It went down smooth. And, it was kinda sneaky ….. after a while, I realized that I was sitting there, staring at the Christmas tree, with a stupid grin on my face. I think this is a new Christmas tradition for me. lol optowalt, Lou.D, hunterbob1 and 6 others 2

delvalhunter
My “mix” is store-bought turkey hill eggnog. Take a two-quart container of it and mix with 6 oz meyers’ dark rum and one full 375 ml botttle of Godiva white chocolate liquor. The Godiva smooths it out very nicely so you don’t have the “bite” of the rum. Gives you about 3 quarts of nog. Always a hit with our family and friends! Getting banged up on sweet anything is the worse thing you could do to yourself. I did it once with a sweet brandy and I was sick for two days. not on the rug
The wife bought a few quarts of some fancy eggnog at Wegmans a couple weeks ago and it was amazing. I don't remember the brand, but it came in an old fashined glass milk bottle. Best eggnog I've ever had. So we have been drinking eggnog white russians for the past week. Titos Vodka, Kahlua, a splash of eggnog and some freshly grated nutmeg. Tis the season!
