Hunting the high seas

Took the boys out for a little sea duck hunt. Plenty of birds, shooting skills were subpar but we all had fun. Wish I brought a pole. Had birds working around me and marked fish high and low most of the day.

That was it. Seen some white wing scooter but they didn't come close enough. Also had 3 harliquins buzz the decoys, wish there was a season on them

Scooters are cool looking, well almost all sea ducks are. 
I never had a chance at  WW Scooter but here are few others:

I was out today. Saw lots of Old Squaw. Good amount of buffies and broadbills.  Nothing would commit. Peeled off and would land 100 yards away. Birds still seemed spaced out. Friend in New York was telling me that there are birds everywhere near him. Expects the colder weather next week to freeze everything up and push the birds out.

We had that problem in the morning then I repositioned the boat and they came in pretty good
