Has anyone seen any of the mysterious and elusive hogs in Gloucester County?

I'm looking for them, but... nothing, nada, zilch. Not even one single sign.

No one I know has even seen one down here either.

Or do they only hang out around those Hoi Palloi, La Te Da, Swank golf courses, attended by those uppity self serving politicians.

I believe only when it personally effects those upper crust, elitists snobs, then they don't mind we hunters getting rid of their pesky little problems by any means possible.

What say you? Anyone get one, or even seen one?

Saw one in Salem county, won’t say where though. Been shot in Salem and Gloucester county’s. They are around, but it’s all about location.

I spoke with a guy from Fish and Game about this a few years back. His reply was simply that “ the locals keep it quiet” however, he did say that White Oak Branch WMA is where most have been killed in the past. Mostly along the power lines and in the swamp. He said to bait them outta the swamp.

You can’t honestly think ppl would be able to unanimously keep silent on something like this. The fact that they got one and most ppl haven’t is more than enough temptation to tought  themselves as master hunters and seek praise on social media. Half the ppl I know post their buck on Facebook before they even call their wives.

I’ve killed several but probably close to 10 years ago same with my brother dad and grandpa

We started getting them 2 years before the state gave the go ahead on them 

back when the area was zone 25 but now it’s one of those 2 day permit season with a 1 or 2 deer limit.

we each got 1 or 2 for many many years and I was the first to get one with a bow at least checked in anyway.

i haven’t seen them for a few years and was told the state trapped a few on the golf course put gps collars on them then tracked them after they regrouped and killed them.

I hunt the main area and haven’t seen any in at least 3 years.

I read an article in a south jersey paper at least 5 years ago that claimed there were over 100 killed off the golf course the first year and as few as 20 killed just 3 years later.

I think they are located in Trenton masquerading as elected officials.

We have been looking everywhere for these things.

Haven't seen any signs nor any postings of anyone who claimed popping one.

I agree with what was already stated by you gentlemen. 

Must be some slip pickings on these critters.

I know several people that have killed them, but I'm sworn to secrecy as to the locations.  They're out there, but not like they use to be.

White Oaks WMA is the main area where they were - they were destroying parts of White Oaks golf club years ago.

Destroying fairways and greens on golf courses will make golfers mad -- Don't make a golfer angry, you won't like it when they're angry  The pigs were decimated when hunters were asked to cull them. I have hunted/do hunt parts of White Oaks WMA for the past several years and never even seen signs of them. I doubt there is many still around. It wouldn't surprise me if they are still there, but they aren't in big numbers if they are there. If they were in big numbers, we'd be hearing about it I'm sure - people would be complaining about them.

 My guess - they are usually found on private land in the area. That WMA gets pressured hard during gun season - clubs drive it. I doubt the pigs hang around.
