 Does anyone know of the heaviest bear taken so far this season?

Think we'll see both deer and bear #s lower this year during 6 Day.  We had no hunters out this year after having too many last year on the state land next to ours.  The best balance for us is "some" hunters helping move game our way.

I don't care for crowds but having some people in woods helps push the game around........whatever makes it thru till next year, deer/bear should be bigger !!!!!

 Public Land over by me hasnt been hit hard either..  I dont know if fewer people are hunting these days or if they're hunting less or going elsewhere..

Some of my guys were just soft and didn't want to sit in the cold weather and/or tromp through the snow.  Wimps

I couldn't believe how light the pressure was. It was nasty opening morning with the icy roads though and freezing rain.

 

On the other hand In Pa Ive never seen as many out of state hunters as this year. If there were a hundred trucks in my general area at least 75 were from jersey so more guys may just be traveling out of state to hunt than before?

 

My camp alone 4 out of 6 were from jersey...

Yes but out of those NJ guys three usually hunt NJ as well.

 

I think it may have been the week later aspect or the weather. Or the real truth.

 

NJ sucks!
