I really have no idea when it comes to Bourbons, so you’re saying that a $50 bottle can be as good as a $500 bottle?

So is it totally subjective based on individual taste, or is there really something that special with the high priced bourbons?

absolutely based on preference, just like cigars. Some guys love the Macanudos very light and mild, some like the very strong Cohibas... Me - I love the maduro wrappers best (long, dark and thick)

I like bird dog apple. It is sweet, smooth, and cheap. The three things that are needed on my list of fine whiskey or bourbons.

If you can find this at retail (around $54) it is a deal. Secondary prices are ranging from $100-$150. I grabbed last one at total wine in Paramus. They just hit the shelves last week.
